The Bally Fisherman's Fleamarket

Today I sold my earrings at the Bally Fisherman's Fleamarket. It ran from 8 to 2 and was pretty busy. It was a pretty successful show and I did pretty good. I am thankful to all the people that bought from me and gave me compliments. I especially am thankful to the people that come to my table every year. I really appreciate the support of each and every one you. Thank you. I am starting to make a reputation at these shows and more and more people are returning to my table each year. If I keep this up, and I'm sure I will, I will have great success in the future.

I want you to know a bit about myself before I begin. I am a highschooler. I live in Pennsylvania. I started making Jewelry when I was about 10.

I was always into fashion. I was the one who put on her moms old pearls and walked around the house in her purple heels. I guess I was destined since birth to do what I do. I've always loved anything artsy. I LOVE dancing, singing, drawing, cooking, photography, sewing, and many more. One of the them is making jewelry.

I first started making jewelry when my dad took me to a fishing expo. I saw some sparkly black and green spinner bait blades, I was about 10 at the time, and said, "Daddy I should put these on earrings!" After that my dream flourished. I started selling earrings for $1 at my school playground in 5th grade! From there I started making more things and expanding my horizons.

I work out of my house! Actually it would be more precise to say my puny square little room that still has pink paint on the walls since I was a kid. Summer for me is the best time in the world since I can just sit at home and make my jewelry!

I love to go to small bead stores to find my supplies! They always have to most unique and beautiful beads that you can't find at your average Micheals, Joanns, or AC Moore! I am lucky to have access to two small bead stores along with all three retail stores!

I manage my Etsy.com shop all on my own! Though my mom does help from time to time with the small stuff!

I am inspired by the world around me! Everyday I see something in nature or in the city that spikes my interest and makes me think!

Last year I sold $88 worth of jewelry at my local "Community Day".The year before that I sold $108! I have been lucky to have the support from other companies.

When I was about 11 I sold my earrings at a small boutique in Bethlehem, PA called Stone Soup. I sold my earrings there until recently when it closed down. My usual income from Stone Soup was suprisingly around $30 to $60 a month. I now know how privileged I was to be included in so many amazing opportunities at such a young age.
